Coat: Thick, straight spitz type. Stand off straight, double
coat with a dense undercoat and a longer coat of guard hairs.
Temperament : Affectionate, obedient.
Care and Training : American Eskimos need weekly brushing and
bathing once a month. You will need to pay special attention to their
teeth and nails. The dense under wool precludes the dog from getting
wet to the skin from the environment.
American Eskimos need long daily walks or free reign in a fenced backyard.
They enjoy active exercise and roughhousing.

General Info : These dogs are highly social and need special
care. They have a need to be close to the owner. Because of their
intelligence, energy and desire to please, they also make outstanding
trick dogs, performing in circuses and shows.
