Coat: Rough and thick, mostly black. Two distinct breed types, one with a long coat of soft texture, the other with a short coat.
Temperament : Chihuahuas also tend to be fairly dog-aggressive. Need proper socializing.
Care and Training : The smooth, short-haired coat should be gently brushed occasionally or simply wiped over with a damp cloth. The long coat should be brushed daily with a soft bristle brush. Bathe both types about once per month, taking care not to get water in the ears.
They are very sensitive to cold temperatures and can get cold. They also can suffer from heatstroke. The Chihuahua should not live outside. It is the breed for apartment living.

General Info : The Chihuahua is a good companion dog. Courageous, extremely lively, proud and enterprising, it gives and demands affection. Bold and saucy, it moves swiftly to avoid being stepped on.
Chihuahua's are strong-willed, intensely loyal and become very attached to their owners, even to the point of jealousy.
They are not recommended for children. They only seems to get along
with their owners only. They can be noisy and may require patience to housebreak
