For ages: 8 & up, with adult supervision
Pet lifespan: approximately 1-2 years
Pet size: 2"- 3" (5-8 cm) long
Nutrition
Choose a fortified diet appropriate for mice. Fill the bowl approximately 3/4 full.
Offer about one teaspoon of chopped carrots, dark green lettuce, squash, Brussels sprouts or kale daily. Take care not to overfeed these fresh foods. They have a high moisture content and too much can cause an upset stomach.
Treat your mouse to finely chopped pieces (about one teaspoon) of pears, strawberries or grapes twice a week.
These hard and crunchy treats keep your pet's front teeth trimmed -- always keep one in the habitat.
Water
Change and fill your pet's water bottle with clean water every day.
