As told Ferret are not the kind of pets that everyone can
handle. They need special care throughout their lifespan.
You need lots of things to take care of your Ferret.
Here is small list of possible things you need to buy before even
thinking about having a Ferret as a pet.
Cage : For the animal's protection and security, we recommend confining him to the cage
during the night and periods when no one will be on hand to supervise.
Food : The domestic ferret will thrive on a premium dry ferret food or, if that is not
available in your area, a premium kitten food.
Food and Water containers: Dry food and fresh water should always be available.
The ferret’s digestive system is about three - four hours long. He needs to resupply his
system frequently. Ferrets are notorious for tipping over dishes.
Litter boxes : Regular cat litterboxes can be used. A sometimes better and cheaper
solution is to use a small, rubber dish pan with one side cut to about 1-2 inches high.
Regular visits to vet: The ferret is extremely susceptible to canine distemper. In the ferret, distemper is
considered 100% fatal. you need to get your Ferret regular check ups.
